Visiting this website
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and runs no tracking scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical details every website receives - your IP address, browser type and the pages requested - to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We do not use these details to identify you.
If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is kept in your own browser's storage and never sent to us.
Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.
03
When you contact us
The contact page writes a message in your own email app; nothing is sent until you send it. When you email us or message us on LinkedIn, we receive your name, your contact details and what you tell us.
We use these to reply and, if you go ahead, to prepare a quote. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
04
When you become a client
We hold the contact details of the people we work with, the agreed scope of each job, and invoices and payment records. Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you and our legal obligations (for example, keeping accounting records for HMRC).
Some jobs mean working with data your business holds about other people - customers, staff or suppliers. For that data your business is the controller and we act as your processor: we only use it to do the agreed job, under the written terms we agree with you before work starts, as UK GDPR Article 28 requires.
05
Who we share data with
We never sell personal data. We share it only with the providers that run our business, each under its own data protection terms: website hosting (Cloudflare), our database host (Supabase), our email provider, and our accountant.
When a job uses an AI service (for example from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google), we tell you which one before the work starts and choose business terms under which your data is not used to train their models.
06
Data outside the UK
Some of these providers are based in the United States or process data there. Where they do, the transfer is covered, for providers certified to it, by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the UK's approved contract clauses, as set out in the ICO's guidance on international transfers.
07
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years from our last contact, then deleted.
Client records, contracts and invoices: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.
Data we process for a client: only for the job, then returned or deleted as our agreement with that client says.
08
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form - the rights the ICO describes. Email founder@eclipse-labs.ai; we answer within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the ICO.

When we change this notice we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use data we already hold, we will tell the people affected before it takes effect.
