AI Visibility Audit: does ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini name you?
The AI Visibility Audit is a fixed-price check of whether ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini cite you, name you or miss you on 20 real buyer questions, with every page of your site scored 0-100. From £149. Report in 3 working days.
Why does it matter what AI assistants say about you?
AI assistants now answer "who should I call?" before a buyer sees Google. They give one short answer, so a small business is either in it or out of it - and you cannot see that answer from your own phone.
You can't see that answer from your side. Asking ChatGPT once on your own phone tells you very little - answers change from run to run, and each engine reads different sources.
So you need the same questions, asked the same way, several times, across the main engines, with your rivals counted alongside you. Then a plain list of what on your site to change.
How else could you find out if AI recommends you?
You can ask ChatGPT yourself, pay for a rank tracker, or run the AI Visibility Audit. Only the audit asks real buyer questions across three engines, repeats each one, and counts your rivals on the same answers.
| Ask ChatGPT yourself | A rank-tracking tool | AI Visibility Audit | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Questions asked | A few, worded your way | Google keywords | 20 real buyer questions |
| Engines | Usually one | Google, sometimes one AI | ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini |
| Repeats | Once | Daily, keywords only | Each question 3 times |
| Rivals compared | Whoever comes to mind | The ones you enter | 3 named rivals |
| What you get | A hunch | Positions, not answers | Cited / named / absent per answer, plus a fix list |
What do you get in the AI Visibility Audit?
The AI Visibility Audit gives you 20 agreed buyer questions, each asked three times on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, every answer graded, three rivals counted, every page scored and a ranked fix list - then a 20-minute call.
- 01
20 buyer questions
Written with you from how your customers actually ask - "who does X near Y", "how much is Z" - and frozen so later checks compare like with like.
- 02
Three engines, three runs each
Every question put to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini with live web search on, three times, so one lucky answer doesn't count.
- 03
Cited, named or absent
Each answer graded: did it link to you, mention you, or leave you out. Only complete answers are graded.
- 04
Your rivals counted
Three competitors you choose, tracked on the same answers, so you see who the AI recommends instead of you.
- 05
Every page scored 0-100
Structured data, content, FAQs and page titles checked on every page in your sitemap, with the gaps named.
- 06
A ranked fix list
The ten changes most likely to get you into answers, in order, each one written so you or your web person can do it.
- 07
A 20-minute call
I walk you through the report and answer questions. No upsell script.
What does an audit report look like?
An AI Visibility Audit report grades every answer as cited, named or absent, counts how often each rival is named, scores each page out of 100 with its gaps, and ranks the fixes. Here is a sample of the lines you get.
audit - yourfirm.co.uk
- "best plumber in Leeds" - ChatGPT: absent
- "best plumber in Leeds" - Claude: named
- "emergency boiler repair Leeds" - Gemini: cited
- "who fits combi boilers in Otley" - all three: absent
- Rival A named on 11 of 20 questions
- /services - score 41, no structured data
- /about - score 38, no "last updated" date
- /boiler-repair - score 72, title too long
- Fix 1: add a business record to every page
- Fix 2: answer prices on the page, not in a PDF
- 40%of platform questions where ChatGPT (web) named GigXchange
- 2 of 24directory questions where AI named us
- 0 of 24city-scene questions where AI named us
- 10competitors counted on every answer

How long does the audit take?
The AI Visibility Audit takes three working days from the first call. Day one agrees the questions, day two runs them on every engine and scores your pages, and day three delivers the report and the walk-through call.
- 01
Day 1
Questions
A short call: your services, your area, three rivals. I draft the 20 questions and you approve them.
- 02
Day 2
Run
Every question asked three times on each engine; every page in your sitemap scored.
- 03
Day 3
Report
Graded answers, rival share, page scores and the fix list, then a 20-minute walk-through.
Is the AI Visibility Audit right for your business?
The AI Visibility Audit suits a business whose customers find it by asking who to use, with a website of a few service pages. It is the wrong buy if word of mouth already fills your diary, or you want a promise of AI traffic.
A good fit if
- Customers find you by asking who to use, not by your name
- You have a website with at least a few service pages
- You want a baseline before spending on fixes
Not for you if
- Nearly all your work comes from word of mouth you already know
- You have no website yet - start with a site
- You want a promise of AI traffic - nobody can honestly give one
Questions
07Asked and answered
The audit is £149, fixed, with no monthly charge. That covers drafting and agreeing 20 buyer questions, asking each one three times on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, grading every answer, scoring every page on your site, the written fix list and a 20-minute call to go through it. The AI calls themselves are capped per run, so the price can't creep. If you then want it checked every month, that is the AI Visibility Monitor.
We ask it your buyer questions through its own interface with live web search switched on, three times each, and read the full answer and its source links. An answer is graded "cited" if it links to your site, "named" if it mentions you without a link, and "absent" if neither. Claude and Gemini get the same questions the same way. A cut-off or empty answer is marked as an error, never counted as "absent".
Because AI answers change from one run to the next, and a single answer can flatter you or bury you by luck. Asking three times on each engine gives nine answers per question, which is enough to see a pattern. It is also why your own one-off test on your phone is a poor guide: you see one roll of the dice, worded the way you would word it, not the way a stranger would.
It is a check of how easy each page is for an AI system to read and quote, out of 100. Points come from four areas: structured data (labels that tell machines what the page is), content (enough words, real numbers, headings), FAQs, and the basics like title length, description and a canonical link. Each page gets its score plus the specific gaps, so "41" always comes with the reasons it isn't higher.
You can make the fixes yourself, hand the list to your web person, or have us do them. Most of the list is covered by AI Search Readiness, which sets up the files, labels and indexing the audit usually finds missing. Whatever you choose, the 20 questions are frozen, so a later check measures real change rather than a change in wording.
No, and you should be wary of anyone who says they can. The engines decide what to say, and they change how they decide. What the audit gives you is a fair measurement and a list of what makes you easier to find and quote. Even GigXchange, which runs this kit, saw AI-assistant visits fall between September and October 2026. I tell you what I see, not what sells.
An SEO audit looks at where you rank on Google; this looks at what AI assistants say when asked who to use. They overlap, because AI search tools read the web, but the output is different: here you get the actual answers, graded, with your rivals counted. Google's own guidance on AI features and your website says the same basics apply, which is why the fix list covers both.
Your website address, a list of your services and areas, and three competitors you want compared. We don't need logins to your site, your Google account or any customer data. The questions are generic buyer questions, so nothing private is sent to the AI engines. You get the raw answers and the report as files, and they are yours to keep.
